Kerres Klima Rooms Technology
Made in Germany – The Difference
The air conditioning systems proved by Kerres for Ripening/Maturing, Fermentation, Reddening, Drying, Dry Ageing, Smoking & Climatization/Conditioning offer significant advantages over lesser equipment available. The following highlights important differences between Kerres and many other air conditioning systems available on the market, including other well established industry competitors.
Evaporator Detail
Many manufacturers install aluminium fin cooling evaporators in the mixing chambers. In terms of durability and performance, these are not comparable to the high-quality stainless steel finned tube evaporators used by Kerres.
Compared to stainless steel, an aluminium evaporator has a very limited lifetime and then has to be replaced due to corrosion caused by the salt content of the treatment air.
The efficiency of a stainless steel finned tube evaporator is significantly higher than that of an aluminium finned evaporator.
Ensure you check the materials used inside the evaporator being specified and if anything other than stainless steel is being used, then take advise on the lifespan of the components.
Energy saving
At Kerres we rely on the most accurate PT 100 technology to measure temperature and humidity values, changes and variances. This system is robust, very precise and resistant to water, cleaning agents & salts in the air.
Other manufactures use the very sensitive and vulnerable capacitive humidity measurement system, these systems have proven to fail at a far higher rate than the PT 100 system used by Kerres.
By having the most accurate control of temperature and humidity, no energy is wasted by overloading the system.
Kerres offers the most advanced heat recovery systems and as standard our energy stop system ensure the minimum amount of energy is used during the process to maintain the required values. This coupled with our highly efficient stainless steel finned tube evaporators means Kerres use the least amount energy and lasts the longest massively reducing the Total Ownership Cost.
Build Quality
Kerres only uses stainless steel for the construction of our air conditioning systems as well as all built-in components.
Many other manufactures on the other hand, installs plastic intake nozzles and plastic exhaust nozzles in the air ducts and will use galvanised stainless on some ducting. These components are highly likely to fail faster than Kerres’ stainless equivalent and may not meet the requirements of strict hygiene standards.
At Kerres there is only stainless steel and the quality seal of "Made in Germany" is mandatory for all Kerres equipment.
Control
Using the advanced K-Touch control system, Kerres can fulfil all customers request regarding process parameters including air flow velocity, direction, humidity and temperature by allowing all the actuators of the system control including flaps to be freely programmable.
The user has full access to adapt and design processes to his products giving absolute flexibility and control to the customer who knows exactly how they want their product to age.
Further to this we offer full PC connection so the system can be controlled, monitored and recorded on an external networked PC or even mobile phone.
Capacity & Processes
Kerres have a wide range of options to consider when specifying your next Klima room, with our stand-along KSG model we can provide systems suitable for 1.6t to 2.5t and with our KNA technology we can build very large rooms suitable for up to 150 trolleys.
It is also possible to add a smoke generator to our KNA rooms to add smoke flavour during the fermentation or drying process. With Kerres the possibilities are endless.
